Last month, I spent a day exploring Point Reyes National Park with a handful of fellow lady photographers. Ever since moving to the Bay Area, I've been amazed by the incredible women I've met who are also small-business owners, women who are excited to collaborate with and encourage the new kid in town. Working from home can feel isolating at times, especially while living in a new city, but I am grateful to have been welcomed into a collaborative community that has made me feel very much at home. Spending a day exploring the coast with this crew was a great celebration of the fact that we're all in this together, and sometimes we just need to get out and explore. Happy Monday to you all- I hope your week is one filled with a little adventure and a lot of teamwork + love. Cheers!
Last month I had the opportunity to hang out with a couple Kansas City ladies while they visited San Francisco. I had met Emily a few years prior when she was an artist-in-residence in Grand Rapids, at my favorite local shop, Have Company. We kept in touch over the years through social media (the internet can be a beautiful thing), and I was excited when she said she would be visiting the Bay with her pal, Kaley. We spent a morning brunching and vintage shopping in the city, and then headed up to the Bernal Heights Summit to check out the views of San Francisco.
